MUST BE CIM QUALIFIEDOur client seeks a Product Marketing Engineer for the Mobile Handset group within their Product Marketing Department. This role requires a sound technical background, relevant degree and 2 years+ professional marketing in a manufacturing company (probably gained in a semiconductor / consumer electronics company). Also excellent interpersonal skills, a relish for working with people. As a quick learner able to apply rational marketing principles to high tech manufacturing, you will develop an understanding of the needs of the engineers buying our clients chips. You also have an interest in marketing and preferably experience from working in a sales/marketing role or from Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) qualification and/or MBA. Bluetooth enabled handsets are an extremely important market and our client has a commanding market share. Together with the Product Marketing Manager you will ensure this position is retained by establishing the needs of customers designing handsets. You will communicate this valuable information internally, ensuring customer needs are met and communicate our clients plans to their sales channel. You will also manage 3rd party partner activity.
