Description:

The main duties will include :Design and implemention of assembly and test processes for volume manufacture ofElectro/Mechanical and Electronics productsAnalysis of and solution to electronic and mechanical related problems on optical/electronics/mechanical assembliesWorking closely with Design Engineers in order to optimise designs for assemblyAnalysis of and solution to problems relating to the assembly processTraining others as and when requiredIdentifying weaknesses in processes and initiate appropriate actionsCollecting data and investigating nonconformances to initiate corrective actions to achieve the divisions quality targetsSupporting production on their daily targets and leading Production Technicians to ensure smooth assembly processes.The following skills are essential :The ability to work with staff from other disciplinesThe ability to be project orientated and capable of managing small projectsJig and fixture design, build and prove outAn Analytical approach to problem solvingPC literateThe ability to work as part of a team or autonomouslyGood communication skillsThe successful candidate should be HNC/Degree standard with a minimum of 3 years experience, preferably time served witha sound practical engineering background.
