RequirementsPosition/ResponsibilitiesPreparation of detailed manufacturing estimates working from engineering drawingsAbility to compile budgetary manufacturing estimates from scheme/layout drawings suitable for tendering activitiesPreparation of processes detailing method of manufactureAbility to prepare material cutting listAttend design reviewsInterface with suppliers/sub contracts to assist the estimating/manufacturing procedurePrepare requisitions for the purchase of bought outs proprietary items, materials and sub contract work.Provide a proactive interface between Design, Projects and Production personnel with the aim of carrying out concurrentengineering and design for manufacture activities.Understanding of tooling and fixturing requirements to assist the manufacturing process.Knowledge of 3D Modelling software would be advantageous.Technical QualitiesPreparation of detailed manufacturing estimates, working from engineering drawings.Ability to compile budgetary manufacturing estimates from scheme/layout drawings.Ability to prepare cutting lists (material).Knowledge of manufacturing processes in fabrication, machining, assembly and test.Experience or knowledge of high integrity, low volume, high variety manufacturing.Experience working in Nuclear, Defence and Aerospace industries.Interface with suppliers to assist the estimating/manufacture.QualificationsPreferred Craft Apprentice experience.Ames Ref 2694 Location Bristol Salary Negotiable
