: My Client is a well established market leader in fresh produce who are renowned for their high standard of quality products. They are currently recruiting a Production Planning Assistant to join their Commercial/Logistics team. This role will report directly into the Commercial Team Leader with the ideal candidate forming an integral part of the NPD Trial team. Key responsibilities will include the weekly planning of raw material requirements for the production process. It will be fundamental to the role that the chosen candidate can undertake daily stock checks, forecasting and ordering primary packaging. The position will require that the applicant is competent at accumulating data and pin pointing key performance indicators and presenting these to the Business Analyst in order to improve certain areas of the business. Applicants must be effective communicators both internally and externally working closely with suppliers to ensure the best possible service is provided for the company. You must be computer literate, who can work well under pressure using your own initiative. A planning or production background is desirable with experience within the food industry.
