Planning:Production Supervisors/Cell Leaders are responsible for following the production plan and ensuring targets are met andthat workloads are evenly distributed. Reviewing output performance on a regular basis. Taking action to recovershortfalls to plans - e.g. overtime, extra staff, reorganising your line, etc. Reporting possible threats to theproduction plan.Staff Management:1. Encourage a 'first right time' attitude to product quality.2. Assess capability of all staff before allocating tasks. Identify staff training needs.3. Maintain good team discipline.4. Maximise the efficiency of your labour, ensuring team members understand each task and any special customerrequirements.5. Perform regular reviews of allocated tasks and reviews/audits of staff conducting the work.General:Review all manufacturing documentation and engineering details before starting each job. Assess staff, tools andequipment requirements. Communicate problems and subsequent solutions to the relevant managers.Quality:Take personal responsibility for the quality performance of your staff. You will need to review line yields andindividual staff performance and feed back on a regular basis.Safety:To provide a safe working environment for all personnel. |
