About the roleMain Purpose of Job:To process finished product production orders in accordance with customer requirements and the production schedule; toobserve and monitor the use of internal procedures relating to health, safety, environment, quality and accounting.Specific Tasks:a) Weighing and measuring of chemical components in order to produce electronic grade adhesives.b) Handling of chemicals and materials - PPE and training will be provided.c) Fill cartridges with finished product, maintaining cleanliness and accuracy, and recording quantity of product andmaterials used.d) Centrifuge & package cartridges in accordance with quality procedures & specific customer requirements.e) Assist with inventory cycle counts.f) Support other Operations Departments (e.g. Shipping, Production Filing) as required, and as enabled with appropriatecross-training.Standard Responsibilities:1. To observe all health, safety and environmental rules and best practices, to report any instance of non-conformance toSupervisor; to contribute to and encourage improvements to healthier and safer methods of working.2. To observe all quality procedures and best practices; to report instances of non-conformance to Supervisor; tocontribute to and encourage improvements to internal quality procedures.3. To participate in and contribute to team meetings; to promote teamwork; to maintain effective communication with workcolleagues.4. To observe financial/accounting procedures in accordance with internal rules and best practice, to report instances ofnon-conformance or questionable practice to the Commercial Manager.Who we're looking forPerson Specification:Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience:- A minimum of 3 years' work experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment.- Good basic standard of education, including Maths and English. Science preferable.- Basic keyboard and PC skills.- Ability to use Word and Excel.- Awareness of Health and Safety Issues.- Attention to Detail.- Conscientious and Reliable.- Great team player coupled with ability to work independently.- Interpersonal effectiveness e.g. good communication skills.Location: CambridgeStart date: 1/11/2005 |
