Our client, part of a major Group is a leading producer of a range of luxury, high quality vehicles. Following asignificant period of growth and profitability, their plan is to further strengthen their operation and propel theirreputation for quality excellence further. The appointment of Project & Engineering Manager is pivotal to the continuedgrowth and development of the organisation.The Role: Initially reporting to the Managing Director, the job holder will work with external Lean Consultants and will beresponsible for driving their Lean Manufacturing Strategy. The job holder will be responsible for site engineering and site services; introducing best practice to raiseproductivity & efficiencies and to reduce costs. The appointment will project manage various highly critical Capex and Continuous Improvement projects across theorganisation, initially this will include a factory extension and new build facility.Requirements: You will ideally possess a degree in Mechanical Engineering or Production Management and have benefited from excellenttraining in a modern production environment. You will possess at least four years experience of industrial / improvement engineering, gained from working for an OEM(automotive, vehicle, aerospace, plant equipment etc). The successful candidate will have experience of introducing and planning modern manufacturing and lean manufacturinginitiatives coupled with the ability to lead through to successful implementation. You will have worked in project teams and ideally will have led projects and have a proven track record in using formalProject Management methodologies.
