Description:

Our client is a leading supplier in the growing digital broadcasting market.They now have a requirement for a Project Engineer to join their expanding team. The main focus of the role will be:To undertake project management and technical support tasks as assigned by the Projects Group, to ensure that customerorders for integrated systems are designed, delivered, installed and commissioned to time and within budget. Takingcomplete responsibility for the technical management of "small" projects from order confirmation through to customeracceptance to ensure the achievement of cost, timescales and performance against specification objectives. Working as amember of a project team contributing technical expertise to the design, build, testing, delivery, installation andcommissioning of larger complex systems.To undertake such activities as are appropriate to the achievement of the overall remit, e.g: Product costings and budgets Establish project plans in terms of timescales, milestones, resource requirements Establish customer communication and interface arrangements Organise design review meetings with customers Ensure stage payment invoices are issued in line with milestone accomplishment Liase with systems specialists to resolve design problems and sales teams on commercial issues Undertake on site surveys Organise systems from design and build through test and delivery Undertake on site installation, testing an commissioning Tracking project financeRequired Skills:Educated to a minimum of first degree level in Electronic/Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering or a relateddisciplineInvolvement in, or strong awareness of, the fields of broadcasting or related digital communication/high technologiesSoftware engineering experience in respect of Windows, Oracle and LAN technology an advantageEither- For experienced engineers: A record of achievement in Project Management or the design and delivery of complex systems- For entry level engineers: The ability to apply technical knowledge and understanding within a fast moving commercialenvironment.Self reliance, enthusiasm, customer focussedValid passportPrepared to undertake worldwide travel, with the possibility of having to spend extended periods away for installationand commissioning purposes
