DUTIES:Include the following but other duties may be assigned:-Act as the Company engineering representative on individual projects. Interface with the Senior Project Engineer and / orLead Project Engineer to respond to technical queries from the client or his nominated representative.Be aware of the contractual aspects of the project.Ensure that the applicable engineering aspects of the quality and safety plans are implemented in accordance withCompany, the client, and statutory requirements.Operate to all engineering project plans, methods and execution policies.Produce work orders, engineering reports and other documents in accordance with Company procedures.Ensure that all engineering is carried out in accordance with the Company Quality, Engineering, Testing andAdministrative procedures.Check and approve (up to the appropriate checking / approval level) all engineering designs and reports for the project,assuring they are in accordance with project specifications and Company procedures.Conduct assessment of Engineering and Manufacturing Non-Conformances and assist the Quality Representative with closingout those Non-Conformances.Interface with the Materials and Testing Supervisor to assure that the testing requirements and the resources needed forthe project are understood.Interface with the assigned Technical Analyst for any project specific specialised analysis, insuring that the analysisbasis is in accordance with the project specifications.Perform any other duties as directed by the Project Manager / Lead / Senior EngineersQUALIFICATIONS:A suitable degree in structural, marine, naval or mechanical engineering or equivalent engineering experience.Outstanding interpersonal, communication and computer skills are essential (ability to operate Microsoft Projectdesirable).Strong verbal, written, numerical and analytic skills, with the ability to present information to top management, theclient or other groups.EXPERIENCE:2 years experience in the key performance areas stated above, of which at least 1 as a Project Engineer preferably inoffshore design projects.Preferably registered at least as a graduate member with a recognised professional body.Ames Ref 2760 Location Newcastle Salary - depending on qualifications and experience C GBP 24 - 37k |
