Description:

: Our client is a world renown company who's core business is to supply oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen and many other gases and services to many markets including steel, oil refining, chemicals, glass, electronics, healthcare, food processing, metallurgy, paper and aerospace. They are looking for a Project Manager to manage a team of engineers to provide a full range of engineering project services. Candidates must be degree qualified & chartered and should have 10 years relevant experience since graduation, including a minimum of 2 years project engineering experience. You should have knowledge of the engineering industry, preferably pressure systems / and mechanical plant & process equipment. Commercial awareness, negotiating skills, IT skills and man management skills are absolutely essential. Ideally you should be familiar with MS Project. The job will involve: Prepare cost estimates, proposals and project programmes, within tight time constraints, to support the Company's sales and operations. Manage the preparation of project specifications, the assessment of tenders and suppliers, and the timely placement of orders to ensure the cost effective procurement of plant and equipment. Direct, control and co-ordinate the team effort to ensure that project, and departmental goals are met. Monitor and control project and departmental performance against time and cost constraints. Maintain familiarity with all relevant Company standards, industry codes of practice and legislation and ensure compliance in all areas of the project management process. Candidates will have mechanical, electrical or chemical process design engineering experience and should have progressed in their career to project engineer or manager level.
