Department overview:Our client a leading Financial Services Company has been reviewing underwriting to create a common underwriting language and performance metrics, and the implementation of best underwriting practice across the world.Main purpose of Role:To provide underwriting expertise and direction relating to the Project. In particular, to have responsibility for the following: To assist with the project management of The Underwriting Projects, to ensure that the final objectives are achieved. Provide technical input in the development and implementation of projects. Develop market leading proposals in response to the challenges set by the opportunities Develop best practice and implement the initiatives with roll out into other territoriesResponsibilities:Responsible for the development and implementation directly, and through others, of the underwriting strategy in response to opportunities. Skills - Technical: Expert knowledge and experience of motor underwriting principles. Excellent understanding of the motor insurance market. Knowledge of current and proposed legal and regulatory requirements relevant to personal lines motor underwriting. Experience in the pricing/underwriting of business obtained from all channels of the Motor market. At least 5 years experience in an underwriting role, or a combination of underwriting, technical or project roles. Skills - Behavioural: Must be able to travelQualifications:Preferably qualified to at least ACII.
