The successful candidate will have a proven ability to manage complex multi-disciplinaryprojects to meet the Customer's requirements on-time and to budget.EXPERIENCE3+ years proven experience of managing major contracts of different Minimum qualification of HNC inEngineering project types in a similar role Previous experience of working in the military environment, ideallyon MoD Fully proficient in the use of PC based project management tools, programmes e.g. MS Project as well as otheroffice applications such as Excel & Word Must be a self-starter with a positive attitude who is also strong-minded withTeam buildermotivational drive to overcome problems quickly and effectively capable of motivating and inspiringothers to meet the Project needs Commercially astute and technically competent who has the ability to communicateeffectively with Customers and Senior Management in a confident and professional Previous experience in defence/sonarenvironment would be an advantage.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITESIdentify Maintain a detailed programme schedule for assigned Projects any issues or dependencies earlyon that are likely to hinder the overall Control ProjectProject programme and recommend solutions whereverpossible Actively pursue and recommend potential costcosts within agreed budgets Ensure all risks areidentified,saving or programme improvement measures Reportrecorded and regularly reviewed (includingsub-contractor risks) resource requirements and liase with other Project team leaders as appropriate Liase withthe MoD Customer, ensuring that appropriate correspondence is Conduct formal reviews and capture actions with agreedtime-scalesmaintained Provide regular milestones, Ensure that all work is appropriately authorized. Monitor andcontrol progress reports and metrics to demonstrate project status performance of both internal staff and sub-contractorsto ensure that the overall project plan is achieved. Establish regular and effective progress Ensure that, at all times,the Project is conducted in accordance with reporting Company policies, procedures and security aspects. |
