Description:

Our Client is a world leader in the supply of critical parts for the automotive industry. After sustained periods of success they are now in the position to extend their Business Development team with the appointment of a Project Planning Engineer.Reporting to the Project Manager you will be responsible for the product development and successful introduction of Automotive Sealing Systems. You will also be responsible for providing definitive plans for mass production preparation.Key Role Tasks:The management and co-ordination of all project changes.Mass production co-ordination.Co-ordination and co-operation with rest of team to ensure expectations are met or exceeded within timescales and plans.Organise sample manufacture, including all product development and submissions. Preparation and updating of product and process flow charts.Maintenance of drawing issues and control procedures.Attending Internal & External meetings including performance reviews.To assist the project manager in all aspects of product development and improvements.Maintain accurate records, meeting minutes, and instigate effective communication to all departments regarding project progression.The ideal candidate must be educated to at least HND level in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, and have at least 2 years experience in an Automotive Product development or Manufacturing environment and have a good level of IT literacy with particular experience in Microsoft and MRP packages.It is expected that the ideal candidate will have excellent customer relationship skills, be an excellent communicator both verbally and in written form, have strong analytical and planning brain and be a conscientious and resourceful team player.The ideal candidate will be based within a commutable distance of Junction 34 of the M1.This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the regions most modern and forward thinking organisations.
