Job Description Project Sales EngineerGeneralPrimary requirement is engineering knowledge and hands-on capability in all aspects of diesel generators. The personshould have the ability to design installations where diesel generators are the prime mover, including all mechanical andelectrical terminations. The person should also have hands-on ability, able to install and commission generators andperipheral equipment. Electrical and control system wiring and installation ability is also a preference. Finally, theability to project manage a diesel generator project, from pre-sales to completion of commissioning, is required.Role day-to-dayRoutine Sales and sales support to staffProject Sales requirement interpretation, specification, installation design, Auto CAD Mechanical & Electrical designwork.Customer technical support and liaisonAttendence to site for pre-sale technical support with consultants, contractors and end usersAttendence to site for installation, commissioning, general assistance and post-sale technical support as necessaryOccasional call-out to sites & maintenance workOrganisation of routine materials for installationsSpecifying refurbishment work required on second-hand generatorsProviding hands-on assistance and advice to workshop staff as necessaryPLC / Deep Sea / Deif programming workProject management of works to completionSupplier management, liaison and specificationsResolving customer complaints relating to quality and technical mattersQualificationsDegree calibreExperience preferable but recent graduates would also be consideredElectrical and mechanical engineering capabilityControl systems knowledge and capabilityLocationYork. Travel to customer premises, installations and suppliers will be necessary. Occasional overseas travel.
