To manage the receipt, issue and storage of documents and design office standards. To ensure all activities within thedesign office are to the appropriate QA procedures. Responsibility for the production of design office programmes for allprojects.Key Requirements.1) To maintain a database for all incoming drawings/standards/controlled documents and produce a monthly status reports.2) To control the distribution of specified documents relating within3) To control the issue of all drawings via the transmittal system producing monthly status reports.4) To issue Travelling Route Cards for workshop manufacture.5) To maintain the document archive room6) To be responsible for procurement and stock levels for Drawing Officeconsumables.7) To assist in the generation of CAD drawings as required.8) To undertake the induction of all new design office staff in design officeprocedures/standards.9) To produce design office programmes for all projects and update monthly 10) To undertake the financial control andmonitoring of contractsKnowledge/Experience. Previous experience of document control within a design office environment essential. Must have excellent IT skills andbe fully conversant with latest computer design drawing packages including AutoCad. Knowledge of Microsoft Project anddatabase packages essential. |
