The Contract Quality Support Engineer is required to work with Design & Development, Quality Engineering and QC staffin the development and preparation of initial and routine inspection requirements.BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE The candidate will be experienced in the creation of ISIR and inspection instructions. Familiarity of the PPAP systemis advantageous. The job holder will have worked in an engineering or technical capacity in the electronics or electrical engineeringindustries. The candidate will have a good knowledge of metrological techniques. The candidate is likely to have worked as a manufacturing support or design engineer. Experience of Quality Engineeringis an advantage. Qualifications in or experience of Six Sigma and Lean methodologies are desirable.QUALIFICATIONS A degree in an engineering or technical subject is preferred. A time-served candidate with demonstrable relevant experience will be considered.PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES The candidate will possess excellent communication skills and be able to succinctly, accurately and effectively shareinformation verbally and in the written form. The job holder will be computer literate and able to proficiently use MS office products and be able to interrogateindustry standard ERP systems. The candidate will perform effectively in a fast moving environment.PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES Act as a project team member providing quality engineering expertise in support of product development projects. Generate Initial and Routine Inspection documentation. Develop appropriate measurement techniques for Initial and Routine Inspection component inspection. The review of Non-Conformance Reports and participation in MRB meetings. Initiation of corrective actions resulting from component inspections. |
