Reporting into aField Sales Manager you will form part of the sales team but with the specific role of developing large independentaccounts, securing new business and working closely with suppliers.You will manage a portfolio of independent accounts whilst supporting and working closely with a team of Terrority SalesManagers who each have their own terrority to manage.You will be required to achieve targeted growth and need accounts target sand develop and grow your existing account tbase by selling in new products, specific promotions and developing menus and new ideas. You will also give both businessand product presentations, planning and attending exhibitions and generally supporting the Field Sales Manager.Skills:Your previous sales / business development experience (ideally, but not essentially in this sector) will have given youthe opportunity to develop superb communication and presentation skills both of which will be essential for this role.Confident, analytical and always with an eye on the bottom line, youll be the guiding force behind the development andstrategy to gain new Key Account business. You will need to be incredibly organised, able to prioritise workloads and thekind of person who remembers to dot every i and cross every t.A natural confident communicator and negotiator you must understand what it takes to deliver a quality service tobusiness customers and be capable of forging your own sales plans. You should also possess sound numeracy skills.You will need to be tenacious, extremely motivated and able to demonstrate at least two three years sales / businessdevelopment experience in a similar role.The job will involve regular driving which may incur mileage in excess of 18000 miles per annum.
