PRINCIPAL AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY Responsible for the RF systems engineering on military communications payload projects. Tasks include: System design, specification, analysis and integration. Work package management. Specification and definition of hardware. Liaison with customer representatives. Attendance at design reviews and meetings. Support platform payload integration and testing. Overseas travel and Military Payload Engineering work in France.EXPERIENCE/ QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREDEssential BSc in Engineering/ Electronics/ Science/ Mathematics. Poven track record and minimum of 7 years post graduate engineering experience in RF communications systems orequipments.Desirable Higher degree in Communications/ Aerospace Engineering. Experience in several of the following: Spaceborne communications system design and analysis. Payload system design and analysis. Payload integration, validation and test. Payload equipments design/ build/ test. Digital and analogue communications. System, sub-system, and equipment specification writing. Requirements management. Post-graduate experience or interest in payload system engineering. Practical Knowledge of Satellite Communication Systems Engineering in a spaceborne environment. Knowledge and interest in telecommunications field. PC literate, MS Office Suite emphasis on Word and Excel. Methodical approach to work, with sufficient commitment and drive complete tasks, even where adverse conditions areencountered. Strong analytical skills. Team player, well organised, communicative and determined to succeed, with the ability to work on their own initiative. Able to organise & co-ordinate work efficiently and willing to learn on-the-job. Willing to travel overseas for short periods on company business.Desirable Higher Degree in Electronics or Telecommunications Fields. Knowledge of: Equipment design and/or test aspects of payload equipment e.g. HPAs, LNAs and DSP design technique. Communication System design and Implementation. Digital and Analogue Communications. Payload System Design, Analysis and Implementation. Communication Systems Engineering implementation, development of simulation tools and techniques the subsequentanalysis of systems performance characteristics of a comms end-to-end system. Knowledge of Visual basic, DOORS, PV Wave, Fortran 90 and Agilent ADS. |
