Account Manager Surrey 35k to 50kOur client offers low-cost small satellites with rapid response employing advanced terrestrial technologies. Over twodecades, they have built a profitable business around our unique approach to space.Reporting to Marketing and Business Development Director. Responsible for Securing satellite missions and associated KnowHow Transfer Technology contracts for the Company and bringing international partners together for the Company ledconstellations.Key Purpose to promote independent space asset and capabilities made possible by the Companys low cost small satellitesand associated programmes to space developing countries worldwide. To gain new contracts for core business of designingand building satellites and to bring international partners together for the Company to build satellite constellationsand bring maximum benefits to customers.Key tasks: To develop promotional materials, including briefings and presentations To promote the Companys low cost small satellites and associated programs andCompany-led constellations across an international community To influence potential customers in order to gain initial interest in the Companys products To build and develop key relationships across an international customer base,particularly in space developing countries To follow up leads and influence customers To liaise internally with key interfaces (Bid Manager, Project Managers, engineeringspecialists) at bidding stage of potential contract To close the deal with customers; securing new business for the Company Travel internationally as required to build relationships and achieve salesQualifications: Degree or equivalent in technical subject (i.e. engineering, computer science, physics)Experience: Proven experience in a similar high-level role such as governmental sales,international sales with high cost, low volume products that involve excellentcustomer relationship management with long lead time sales Experience of working in an international organisation and/or with an internationalcustomer base Demonstrate proven experience of winning new business Previous experience in a similar role in the space industry or satcomms Demonstrate proven experience of influencing at an international level Knowledge of space technologies and applications High-level awareness and appreciation of different cultures Excellent business acumen and instinct Excellent sales and commercial skills Committed and enthusiastic Focused and driven Excellent interpersonal skills able to influence at all levels Able to work using own initiative Flexible High organised with good project/time management skills |
