Job Requirements: Job Purpose Support for increasing workload within the Air Quality field. Key part of the role will include the preparation and co-ordination of full assessments. The incumbent will require good dispersion modelling capability. Key areas of industrial experience could include pharmaceutical facilities, oil and gas sector, food industry, chemical sector, waste management, paper and pulp and the power industry. Job Responsibilities: Accountabilities/Responsibilities: Responsible for undertaking the assessment of air quality impacts from a variety of industrial and infrastructure developments. This will include accessing and collating baseline air quality data, modelling of emissions and comparison against relevant objectives, standards or guidelines. Responsible for the preparation of reports of a high quality for inclusion within EIAs, IPC variations and applications for PPC permits or to respond to planning queries. As appropriate, responsible for scoping and undertaking baseline air quality monitoring exercises and reporting same. Support to Management team in preparing proposals that require a significant air quality input Key Requirements Technical/Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years experience of air quality issues in an industrial, consultancy or regulatory background. Demonstrate significant experience in using ADMS dispersion model for air quality assessments. Previous experience of air quality monitoring, modelling using other dispersion modelling packages and undertaking DMRB assessments would also be an advantage. Technical qualification to good relevant first degree level (1st or II 1), preferably with pertinent higher degree. Chartered status and/or member of IEMA would be an advantage. Person Specification: Dynamic, Proactive and confident.Excellent communication skills and an understanding of business finance Problem solving abilities and previous experience of managing small teams.
