: This is an exciting role for a Senior/Principal System Engineer. Candidates must have at least 5 years recent systems design experience from the Aerospace industry. Working on a number of displays, navigation and other avionic systems, you will be able to lead technical teams and liase closely with the customer on technical issues. Candidates need to be highly motivated, have a proven engineering track record, be professional in nature and have strong communication skills. Job related experience Essential:- Experience of system requirements in accordance with customer's requirements, Legislation, human factors, business needs and of validating and verifying that the system that has been produced as a result meets the original specification. Understanding of the architecture of product design and ability to turn this into requirements for engineers in the relevant discipline. Experience of facilitating trade-offs between hardware and software. Disciplined and rigorous approach to requirements, management and ability to ask challenging questions about the requirements and architecture of the system. Providing tests defining the requirements at each level of hierarchy. Desirable:- Good knowledge of aircraft certification requirements. Knowledge of how different parts of the aircraft interface with each other and how they use the information. Capable of partitioning architecture into hardware and software.
