Sales Manager, New Business, Training Courses, West London, 40-50k basic, Uncapped OTE, Field Sales, Account Maintenance, Team Environment. My client is the world's largest conference company and has been the leader in the provision of business information for over 20 years. IIR produces over 3000 events annually from a network of offices in 30 countries. My clients conferences are developed by a process of detailed research with operators, manufacturers and consultants to ensure that the programmes are accurate and truly objective. The events are held throughout Europe and attract high level delegates from all over the world. The high percentage of repeat bookings is testament to the fact that their conferences do truly meet the needs of the industry. To this end, my client has decided to actively sell their high value, solution-based sponsorship packages to key prospects and accounts, selling across their 65 events portfolio. The individual will Focus on event and account management, client retention and year on year growth from each account. Sponsorship deal values range from GBP 7,000 - GBP 50,000. As a Business Development Manager your key responsibilities will revolve around you High value sales against quarterly and event targets To identify high-level sponsorship sales opportunities with existing and new accounts, understanding and identifying business objectives within major accounts. Adopting a consultative sales approach. Responsibility for maximising those events where you are solely responsible for sponsorship revenue Client retention - to provide a high level of account management service and strengthen the client relationship New business development - proactively increase the sales universe and identify new event opportunities to develop our portfolio Working effectively within a team of 5 Sponsorship and Exhibition sales people and with a larger team of Conference Producers, Research teams, Marketing and Telesales. The perfect candidate for this role will be Graduate with a minimum 5 years commercial experience in a business development role You will have a proven record of strategic sponsorship sales, new business wins, and account management with average deal values in the region of GBP 15k You will have a passionate customer focused attitude and be an idea generator, initiative-taker.
