Senior Convergence Consultant The CompanyEricsson has developed a services model for Network and Technology Consulting. We have a proven track record of operating this model in a number of it's Market Units around the world. Recently it was decided to create such an organisation in the local Market Unit, which serves the UK and Ireland. This has opened up a range of opportunities for seasoned and experienced professionals to join at an early stage of its growth, and become a part of an exciting and influential new division. We are seeking self motivated and professional individuals with customer facing experience primarily in the 2G, 2.5G and 3G mobile operator market, or alternatively the flexibility and depth of vision to apply relevant past experience to the new and specific challenges of mobile networks and their operators.Our remit is to provide a Consultancy service to complement the existing services which Ericsson already offers to its mobile operator customers. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to move into, or further develop your skills and experience in, the continually evolving world of mobile technology.General responsibilities:Responsible for technical design activities and consultancy on mobile network customer projects requiring convergence onto IP and/or ATM transport networks. You will be providing:Specifically offering a range of Network and Technology Consulting Services focusing on the IP/ATM Transport Network layerDesired Skills: University Degree or equiverlent.Consultancy Experience with a telecoms Vendor.Combination of Strong Technical skills and commercial awarenessExperience in the following technologiesoIP Network Design, oPlanning and Migration. oIP Routing, Switching and VPNs. oMPLS, CoS and IP/QoS Design and Principles. oSecurity/Firewall/DMZ Design and Principles. oATM, Ethernet, Frame Relay and TDM Technology. oWAN and LAN Design. oCisco and Juniper Design and Product Knowledge. |
