Title: Senior Design EngineerReporting to: Infrastructure ManagerLocation: BirminghamOur client is a successful international organisation provides consulting, design and management services.The role is to be able to undertake infrastructure projects from providing preliminary designs to detailedimplementation, taking ownership for the delivery. The division is currently expanding its teams and this role will haveinput into its growth providing exciting challenges and opportunities as well as growth in terms of businessopportunities.This is a vital role and would be of interest to someone either looking for an opportunity to develop and enhance furthercareer opportunities or a technical individual who wishes to concentrate on the technical aspects and assist in thedevelopment from this perspective.The role will require the individual to have excellent time management, be able to monitor budgets and be willing tovisit as required.Job Accountabilities / Responsibilities:To be responsible for tasks identified and have full accountability for their deliveryResponsible for technical approvals within given tasks and associated projectsTo become the technical consultant within the teamResponsible for client liaison ensuring necessary tasks are discussed and actions identified and resolved.To undertake the technical development of junior staff, providing appropriate training and mentoring thus assisting intheir development.To take day to day management responsibility as appropriate for team members.Key Requirements:Technical / Qualifications:The individual is likely to have 5+ years experience post Graduate or 10 years technicianMicro Drainage is highly desirable.Previous experience within Drainage design is essentialRequires a background in developments, main drainage and or highways or similar environmentMust have an understanding of design standards and construction principals with an awareness of the commercialimplications of their designs.Understanding of CAD systems and its capabilities. |
