: PRODUCT DESIGN MANAGER The successful applicant will be responsible for the product design activities on site. The role is intended to be the focus of product design activities. You should have some domain knowledge of MoD Naval Vessels either in Surface Ships or in Submarines. This is a new area for the Product Design Department to set up business, and the post holder will be expected to set up and to grow a team to meet the demands of the role. The successful applicant must be a Chartered Engineer with a strong design background coupled with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships. PRINCIPAL MARINE ENGINEER The successful applicant shall report directly to the Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering Group Manager, and shall be responsible for the provision of professional Marine engineering support to business units. Primarily this support shall be directed towards the Yachts business unit in support of our design and build of SuperYachts, however, this shall not be exclusive. Depending on the workload the successful applicant will be expected to manage a team or teams of Engineers for delivery of products, such as, concept designs, or Marine Engineering specifications. The post holder shall be a Chartered Engineer in a Marine Engineering related discipline with a strong Marine Engineering background. MECHANICAL ENGINEER GROUP MANAGER The successful applicant shall report directly to the Chief Design Engineer and shall be responsible for the provision of professional mechanical engineering support to all business units. This support ranges from Noise and Vibration assessments to be conducted on SuperYachts to defect investigations on submarines. The Mechanical Engineering Group consists of a team of approximately 30 engineers, the majority of whom are degree qualified and some of whom are Chartered Engineers. The Mechanical Engineering Group Manager shall be professionally responsible for all outputs for this group. The successful applicant must be a Chartered Engineer ideally in Mechanical Engineering, although Marine Engineer will be considered. This is a significant post and the applicant will be expected to have a strong technical background with strong managerial and planning capabilities.
