Senior Electrical Engineer - Cambridge GBP 30-40k neg.East AngliaLocation CambridgeshireBusiness Design, Environment and EngineeringContract Type PermanentJob DescriptionTo lead the Electrical Engineering Team responsiblefor all electrical design and maintenance projectsand provide engineering support to otherdisciplines. Reporting to the M & E Team Leader.RequirementsEssentialA thorough knowledge of electrical engineeringwhich must be in the building services field.Specification writing experience.Working in Public & private sectors.Ability to work without supervision.Ability to work with clients.Working knowledge of 16th ed wiring regulations andLG3 lighting guide.Knowledge of Design software, and lighting cableregulations.Knowledge of working within fee structure.Commercially & Financially aware.AcademicONC, HNC or HND required depending on entry level.Min 5 yrs post qualification experience ofelectrical services design (lighting, small power,fire alarms, etc).DesirableProject management experience.Applicants will need to demonstrate goodmanagement, organisational and client liaisonskills, and will be familiar with IT.ResponsibilitiesLeading the small team of electrical engineers.Design electrical services systems.Carry out surveys of electrical building servicessystems.Produce feasibility reports.Provide tender documentation, e.g. specificationsand drawings.Provide budget cost estimates.Trainingdevelops individuals through a portfolio oftraining and development courses designed to helpyou make the best of your abilities and talents.Client has recently been awarded Investor in Peoplestatus.Additional InformationThis position will require you to visit sites.
