Vacancy:Senior Electronics EngineerStatus:PermanentRef:SCS59Area:Greenford UKEXPERIENCE5+ years Electronics hardware design experience. British National and/or security clearance to UK SECRET. Previousexperience of working in the defence sector, ideally on MoD programmes. Demonstrate ability in both analogue, digital andmix-mode design. Experienced with DSP and FPGA based design. Experience of developing low noise, pre-amplifiers andfilters. Knowledge of the software design process and some coding experience. Ability to work with RF circuits(desirable). Delivery of technical solutions taking into account project schedule and budget constraints. Ability tomultitask across several projects. Must be a positive and strong minded self-starter with motivational drive. Must be aTeam Player. Excellent communication skills are required.EDUCATIONGraduate in ElectronicsDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESManagement of customers and project staff at all levels. Electronics Engineer for Surveillance Systems SBU, reporting toProject Manager. Provide electronics hardware design capability to projects in the Business Unit. Develop hardwaresolutions from customer or product specifications. Provide innovative hardware solutions for competitive proposals andbids. Develop existing designs for improved performance, cost reduction or obsolescence. Lead electronics hardware designand development activity within a multi-discipline team. Responsible for design conception, development, integration/testand proving compliance with specification. Occasional UK and overseas travel maybe required. |
