: Senior Electronics Engineerer - Cambridgeshire To contribute to innovation in the design and operation of OLED-based display systems through detailed understanding of the operation of such systems and development of electrical systems to enhance their performance. Development of realistic models of both active and passive matrix OLED displays. IP generation, particularly in the field of display driving. Liaise with partner organisations. Support of demonstrator development activities. 3MAIN ACTIVITIES Development of an advanced model of an OLED passive matrix display, calculating system performance for the display of custom images based on real device performance and including the effects of defects and non-uniformities in device operation. Development of simulations of active matrix OLED TFT pixel circuits and surrounding display system. Development of novel active and passive matrix drive schemes. Supporting the design and testing of technology demonstrators. Driving the activity reverse engineering commercial display systems. Development of novel electrical drive schemes, where required, for technologies investigated within the Strategic Innovations group. Providing electronic design and engineering support wherever required. 4KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED A degree or higher in an Electronic Engineering related discipline. A minimum of 5 years direct experience in electronics design. A strong grounding in mixed signal design. Experience of the development and use of numerical simulations. Computer literacy is essential. Good programming skills essential, preferably in C or C++. Experience of simulation tools and languages, such as SPICE or Matlab, would be a strong advantage. Experience of TFT design, particularly for display applications, would be a strong advantage. General knowledge in optics is a distinct advantage. Experience of Integrated Circuit design would be an advantage. An independent, resourceful and highly motivated individual is required, who has demonstrated the ability to take initiative. Strong time management skills with the capacity to work to tight deadlines Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
