Morespecifically, they have specialists in ground engineering and geotechnics, civil and structural engineering,environmental sciences and engineering, waste management, surface and underground mining engineering and mineralsmanagement.They have been growing and developing for the last 160 years and currently employ around 200 technical staff.Their multi-disciplinary skills, coupled with wide experience on numerous projects both in the UK and overseas; underpinsa quality of service for which the Firm is renowned.Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will have at least 4 years experience and be able to undertake infrastructure design work,relating to roads, drainage and foundations as well as being proficient in the use of Autocad and other road and drainagesoftware packages. Experience of using Microdrainage (or Hydroworks) and Key TerraFirma (or PDS) would be desirable.Interpersonal skills are essential as the role involves substantial client liaison with groups such as NHBC and Utilityfirms together with in house employees from all disciplines including landscape architects and environmental scientistwithin the Newcastle upon Tyne office.The successful candidate will manage a team of civil engineering technicians and possess the ability to work to tightdeadlines.Candidates should be aiming to achieve professional qualifications with the ICE and ideally be educated to degree level.Suitably experienced HNC/HND candidates will be considered for this position. The successful candidate will be able todemonstrate experience in arranging S104, S38 and S278 agreements have relevant design experience for roads and drainagecoupled with the ability to manage staff as well as client liaison skills.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a specialised team of engineers and planners to work on a diverse range ofprojects.
