CLIENT DESCRIPTION:A well established e-Learning and Training company with ongoing contracts with various defence and commercialorganisations.ROLE.Although not an exhaustive list the main duties and responsibilities are;PlanningDefine High Level Designs and learning content from information provided by and/or in consultation with the customer.Analysis shall provide detail to an enabling objective level, to allow adequate planning and risk management.Design.Develop and agree design standards and templates internally and with the customer.Educate the customer in the design process.Produce design storyboards/specifications in conjunction with other designers and the customer for each enablingobjective to meet project delivery milestones.Assess and approve each design specification in an internal design review ensuring enabling objectives have been metutilising, best practices, correct sequencing, and media to meet varying learning styles of the target population. Ensuresafety and environmental impacts have been fully addressed.Conduct design reviews with the customer and capture outcomes in a Preliminary Design Review. Update the design andensure acceptance by the customer for Critical Design Review.Process Definition and Education.In a consultative role ensure customers have adequate knowledge of instructional design best practices and knowledge ofagreed development process and templates.Ensure the design team and management are given feedback on identified opportunities in the design process.Work with the design team in incorporating Instructional Design best practices.CoordinationAct as the design point of contact with the client in conjunction with other designers.Work with the client to produce storyboard specifications.Ensure that information received from the client is distributed to the correct project team members in a timely mannerand kept under configuration management.Ensure that design specifications are completed to the Project Plan, that they contained quality learning practices,utilising the correct media and sequencing appropriate to the learning styles of the target population/audience.Attend internal and external design reviews.Ensure that the design team follow the correct procedures.Monitoring & ReportingKeep the Project Manager and Directors fully informed of progress to the project schedule.Provide details of customer feedback.Complete documentation in accordance with Operational Procedures.Business contributionGenerate confidence in CTS abilities to customers and potential customers.Where required attend trade shows, presentations and speak at exhibitions.Ensure all material produced is of the highest quality and consistency without reducing productivity.Keep up-to-date on business and market issues relating to bespoke e-LearningRe-define and developing internal operational processes and practices to increase design productivity.CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:EssentialWell qualified, preferably with a degree and/or MSc in a related teaching/education/instructional design discipline. Theideal person must:Have 10 years experience in education or learning environment including 5 years developing quality CBT/ e-learningsolutions.Have an excellent education design track record (5 years minimum) preferably in an e-Learning/training environment.Be innovative, self determined, have a cognitive approach with the ability to identify new methods to learning designcreating technical content. It is essential that the candidate be able to interpret technical information and transformit, making it easy for a learner to understand.Have excellent communication and client facing skillsHave a proven record in tailoring generic and bespoke training products to client needs.Have teaching/instructional/training experience.Although not essential the candidate may also have knowledge of multimedia and e-learning development tools.Be IT literate (MS Office).In line with the requirements of the Asylum & Immigration Act 1996, all applicants must be eligible to live and work inthe UK or EU.
