International PLC specialising in the Motor Industry with operations in the UK, Europe and America is currently looking to expand its internal audit operations. This is an exciting opportunity to join a market leading business at a senior level.This is an exciting opportunity to work in internal audit as a senior auditor. Reporting to the Director of Audit and Risk Management, this is a high profile position within the group with exposure to management on a regular basis. Generally working in teams of two or three the position will involve around 50% global travel and a central London base at the head office of the company in the UK. The specific goals for the candidate will be:Identify and report on significant control weaknesses across the businessIdentify and promote good business practice worldwidePromote effective corporate governance and ensure the group satisfies the requirements of the combined code through the Turnbull guidanceUndertake activity to ensure that high risk areas are subject to greater focus than low risk areasProvide early warning to senior management of potential control problemsProvide the best possible platform for people to develop their careersSupport the business through appropriately targeted special project activityCarry out all elements of reviews (planning/fieldwork/reporting) in accordance with the Audit Committee approved risk based audit planTo evaluate business risks and, in conjunction with management, develop solutions to minimize the risks identifiedTo review and appraise controls within key business process areas working with management to develop action plans to address identified improvement opportunitiesPresentation of findings and recommendations to management at every level within the groupPerformance of special projects (e.g. business integration, post acquisition due diligence, business risk analysis)The candidate will be a qualified accountant with strong relationship building and communication skills along with business acumen and a pragmatic approach to problem solving are required, along with an ability to align the objectives of an effective control environment with the objectives of the group.Unparalleled career opportunities are available for the successful individual choice |
