BSc Mech. Degree minimum + 4 years post industrial experienceOrHND/HNC plus 8 - 16 years+ experience Familiar with light engineering mechanisms, small intricate assemblies, electro-mechanical enclosures (mouldingsand sheet metal) and a broad range of differing materials, commercial parts and manufacturing processes. Design of experiments, technical reporting and document compilation Familiar with ISO 9000 or other high quality oriented design/development/ manufacturing environment. (SpecificFDA medical device knowledge or familiarity with ISO 46001/13485 would be an added benefit.) Familiar with raising documentation associated with implementing new designs into manufacture i.e.drawings/ISIRs/assembly aids/work instructions/BOMs/PFMEAs/manufacturing plans/verification protocols Self-starter with ability to work under own initiative to resolve problems in a timely manner. Able to take leadrole, practical hands on solution finder. Able to communicate effectively at all levels with outside suppliers and service providers (e.g. industrialdesigners), in house project team peers, senior management and other internal staff. Good project/time management, vendor liaison negotiation skills Ability to view and interrogate Solid Edge drawings ideal but not essentialThe successful candidate will be joining the project at a critical stage and will be required to pick up on work alreadydone. Taking a newly designed product through development/ verification/validation and into production.Note, this is a Project Engineering role not a CAD Engineering role, use of or familiarity with CAE/CAD systems is notessential. Time spent in front of a CAE/CAD monitor will be minimal as support is available in this respect. Goodunderstanding of engineering drawings and tolerances is essential however to support checking and inspection needs. |
