Applicants must be willing to provide evidence of eligibility to work in the UK if requested.Candidate Profile:An adaptable practical Mechanical or Industrial Design Engineer with:Minimum of 5 yrs experience in developing medical devices to ISO:13485 standards.Experience of the mechanical integration with electronic, optical, microfluidic and user interface sub assemblies.Experience of ergonomic consumer design for production primarily for medical and industrial applications with a flair forinnovative designs.Experience of managing, outsourcing and building small scale prototypes and progressing these to high volume manufacturedinstruments.In addition the candidate will have/be:Degree or Higher in Mechanical or Design Engineering.3 Years minimum experience of Solidworks CAD.Experience of standard office software packages for recording, processing and presenting data.Self motivated, independent, organized individual with good technical and practical problem solving abilities.Good interpersonal skills, with an enthusiasm for working in small multi-disciplinary dynamic teams to solve challengingproblems.Principal Duties:To design, develop and outsource the mechanical design of novel medical and industrial instruments working withinISO13485.Produce promotional/concept material from CAD designs.Building prototype instruments and test rigs.Responsible for managing the whole outsourcing procurement process for high volume manufacture |
