Responsible for:Engineering Project Performance Draughtsmen, Engineers, Senior Engineers and all grades within other engineeringdepartments.Job Objectives :To control the performance of engineering project execution on given projects.To co-ordinate the engineering design activities on projects to time, cost and quality targets.Skills, Knowledge and Special Attributes Needed for this Position:HNC/HND or Degree Qualified or Chartered Engineer.Several years experience within the Minerals Extraction business sectors Autoclaves, mills and material handlingexperience will be advantageous.Capable of demonstrating career progression from discipline engineer (sound design background) to project engineer withspecific responsibility for delivery to time/cost/quality targets on small to medium sized lump sum projects and withinalliance type contracts and from concept to detail design.Demonstrate a high level of working knowledge of all other engineering disciplines to the extent that relationships andinterfaces are clearly understood.Other Matters:Mobility and flexibility to work anywhere in UK essential potential for European locations also.Responsibilities/Successful execution of small/medium projects to time, cost and quality targets.Co-ordinate with Client and other engineering disciplines to successfully execute client requirements.Monitor project performance of all disciplines.Control costs and changes.Monitor/control performance of subcontractors.Identify technical and commercial risk reviews.Prepare cost effective technical solutions over a wide range of technologies.Prepare estimatesPrepare bid documentation.Prepare and maintain execution plansPrepare/monitor programmesPrepare/monitor budgetsMonitor qualityMaintain cost effective edge via development and implement improvement initiativesMaintain H&S file, CE technical file/records and other legislative records.Mentor/develop junior engineers to higher skill levels and undertake staff appraisals.
