PRINCIPAL AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY Work on a range of projects for MOD and other government departments, involving: Systems engineering. Advanced project management (covering - inter alia, systems of systems, costing, performance modelling, assurance). Investment appraisal and business case preparation. Definition of requirements and assumptions. Identification of key issues. Development of models to assess trade-offs and compromises. Interaction with clients to convey results.EXPERIENCE/ QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREDEssential Minimum 2:1 degree in a numerate discipline or higher degree(s) in relevant subjects with minimum of 5 years experiencein a senior level consultancy environment. An appreciation of the defence acquisition process (SMART procurement and the CADMID (Concept Assessment DevelopmentManufacturing In-Service Disposal) cycle) and an understanding of the whole life costs associated with equipmentprocurement. Experience of: Working on defence-related projects. Conducting investment appraisals to support the Combined Operational Effectiveness and Investment Appraisal (COEIA)process. Risk Management, Cost Modelling and Analysis. A good understanding of the principles, guidelines and methods used in the cost analysis of military equipments,systems and capabilities. Ability to liase effectively with senior clients to help define, clarify requirements and collate relevant data/information. Familiar & confident in using spreadsheets for data analysis and presentation. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Flexible approach to work and ability to work alone, or as part of a team. |
