Aid the Technical Director in the development of new products and continual improvement of existing products. Would suitsomeone with experience of technically managing projects who likes to be completely 'hands on'. Would be required totechnically lead team but not be directly responsible for staff. .Key TasksCandidate will take a primary role in providing technical input to bid proposals across all fields of .Candidate may be required to technically lead a small team of engineers to take projects through from conception toprototyping, liaising with clients etc.Candidate must have a sound knowledge of both analogue and digital electronics including mixed signal design.A background in optics is desirable.Knowledge of DSPs, FPGAs and microprocessor design is required.Candidate may be involved in all aspects of design from outline of specification requirements, schematic capture, printedcircuit board layout, test/verification through to involvement with prototyping designs. Knowledge of Protel would be anadvantage.An understanding of sonar theory or marine applications would also be of advantage but not necessary.Familiarity of Linux and PC Hardware would also be of benefit.Experience of assembler and/or embedded C would also be an advantageExperience of instrument and system design would be of benefit.Candidate must be able to act on own initiative and accept increased responsibility during projects.Education LevelMinimum Upper 2nd Class Electronic Engineering DegreeExperience DesiredTen years experience |
