This role is responsible for the Development of the mechanical equipment used on gas turbine packages, and for definingequipment specifications. This is an engineering role that works closely with designers, draughtspersons, suppliers andalso engineers from other disciplines.The role involves the design authority for at least one of the following commodities; acoustic enclosures and filtrationequipment, fabricated underbases, gear boxes, couplings, maintenance lifting equipment and tooling, coolers or fire andgas protection equipment.The role also involves defining design specifications, carrying out analytical calculations, validation testing, reportwriting, and fault resolution.Qualifications:Degree level or (equivalent) in an engineering or science discipline.Experience:Previous experience with some aspects for gas turbine driven products would be an advantage but is not essential for thisrole.This role will be offered at Engineer, Senior Engineer, or Principal Level Engineer level dependent on experience.Skills:Applicants must be able to work in a methodical manner, and have effective analytical skills. The ability to addresspractical manufacturing and operational issues is also required for this role. Applicants must have the ability to workas part of a team. IT literacy skills are essential for this role |
