Responsible for: Principal Process Engineer, Senior Process Engineer, Process Engineer 1 & 2 and Graduate Engineer. Toprovide a professional design resource to the refinery sector to scope client projects and then follow through thedetailed design and potentially commission plant.Skills, Knowledge and Special Attributes Needed for this Position:Chemical Engineering degree and membership of the IchemE or institute of petroleum engineers. At least 10 - 15 yearsrelevant refinery experience in a design capacity gained via employment in an operating company or a major contractinghouse.Other Matters:The job holder would be required to travel to client sites for business development function and also be available forlonger secondments to aid clients in project definition.Key RsponsibilitiesLead both in-house and client personnel in the definition of refinery projects varying in size from small plant modsthrough to world class projects.Drive process activities in line with project scheduleProvide technical managerial support to the project management in the execution of refinery projects.Report process KPIs i.e. man-hours, progressUndertake reviews of process deliverablesAct as a checker and approver of process deliverablesLead the team with skill and experience in the delivery of process engineering.This role will be as the lead process engineer in the refinery sector of business. Regular communication with theEngineering Manager Process will be required, however, the role will have day to day autonomy to make decisionsimpacting upon the projects in hand.
