Due to an increase in project activity a position has arisen for a Senior Engineer to join a prestigous engineering oil/gas design contractor.Objectives of the role is to provide technical leadership and supervise and develop staff assigned for major projects.Main responsibilities of the Role:Approve all technical decisionsEnsure that engineering is carried out in accordance with procedures and contractual requirements of the project including budgets and schedules.Identify and manage project design changesMonitor team performance in terms of performance man-hours and costs against the project's programme and budgetUpdated the project management team with regard to project progressSubmit regular progress reportsContribute to the development of engineering techniques draw attention to any inadequacies identified for present and/or future projects.Job requirements:At least 10 years in depth experience of onshore oil and gas facilities design.Minimum of 5 years experience in Project Engineering. Engineering Degree and Chartered Status.Experience working in a supervisory role as Lead Engineer or Project Engineer and ready to take on a more significant position both at project and corporate level.The successful candidate will have proven leadership skills; the ability to effectively manage projects including budgetary and schedule control; ability to effectively manage project teams; excellent interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively at all levels; flexible and innovative in approach; self motivated; good analytical and problem solving skills; well organised with the ability to deal with shifting priorities.Salarynegotiable + car allowanceFor all positions above the general work package is:Work time: Flexible 40 hours with core 9am to 4.30pm half hour lunch. Where 40 hours worked by 12 noon on Friday staff can leave work dependent upon work levels. Annual leave: 25 days on joining.
