This will encompass end to end link budgetanalysis of the communication system, payloadsignal analysis, including effects of multi-carriersignals, access systems (TDMA, FDMA, MF-TDMA, CDMA,W-CDMA), RF/Microwave analysis and system capacityanalysis.Desirable: Knowledge of the equipment design and/ortest aspects of payload equipment e.g. HPA s, LNA sand DSP design technique; Communication Systemdesign andImplementation; Digital and AnalogueCommunications; Payload System Design, Analysis andImplementation. Proven programming ability using ahigh level coding language (Fortran or PV Wave orsimilar product) for system modelling and systemdesign evaluation is expected.Tools/EquipmentMandatory: PC literate, MS Office Suite emphasis onWord and Excel.Desirable: Visual basic, DOORS, PV Wave, Fortran 90and Agilent ADSQualifications:Essential: The applicant is expected to have a goodhonours degree inengineering/electronics/science/mathematics, butother qualifications and applicable experience willalso be considered.Desirable: Higher Degree in Electronics orTelecommunications FieldsPrevious ExperienceEssential: Practical Knowledge of SatelliteCommunication Systems Engineering in a spaceborneenvironment Desirable: Communication SystemsEngineering implementation, development ofsimulation tools and techniques the subsequentanalysis of systems performance characteristics ofa comms end to end system.Personal QualitiesThe applicant will be a team player, wellorganised, communicative and determined to succeed,with the ability to work on their own initiative. |
