Description:

As a senior software developer you can look forward to working with other developers and development teams, as well asthe test and technical publication teams, helping to specify, design, and implement the next-generation of our client'stechnologies and customer solutions. This will include new features for web based components, and integration of thosecomponents with the full product suite, as well as 3rd party technologies (e.g. authentication systems).Your role could include responsibility for supervising a small number of developers and providing them with technicalmentoring. Alternatively a software development role within a small team, with career development potential.Essential Skills/Experience Computer Science degree or similar (ideally 2.1 or better) 3 or more years of professional software development experience 1 or more year of commercial experience of web application development on Microsoft .NET and/or Windows platforms usingthe C# .NET and/or C++ programming languages. Object Oriented Design and ProgrammingPreferredKnowledge and/or experience in some of the following are preferred: Microsoft Windows 2000 and 2003 Working knowledge of Web Servers e.g. IIS, Apache and servlet engines, e.g. Tomcat. .NET WinForms Java SWING and AWT JUnit or other unit testing tools Ant XML C and C++ .NET Platform Invocation Services UML Multi-threaded programming COM, COM+, DCOM, ActiveX 2-factor, Smart Card, and certificate-based authentication systems Directory programming (Active Directory, Novell) using LDAP/ADSI/JNDI Oracle and/or SQL Server development using .NET and/or Java (JDBC) TCP/IP Sockets, HTTP Microsoft Project and Project Server Linux/UNIXServer software stress and scalability testing and tuning.You can look forward to working for a leading international software products developer and vendor, developinginfrastructure software technologies which are the preferred choice of many of the world's corporate enterprises.Salaries and benefits are excellent, and the company culture is superb, recognising the need for people to have livesoutside work!
