At least 5 years experience of commercial software development. Strong knowledge of system level C and C++ programming in a UNIX / Linux environment. Experience of network protocols and socket-level network programming. Ability to present effectively both to clients and staff. Capability to manage and mentor other staff and lead a development project successfully. Experience of the software development lifecycle from requirements capture through to testing.DESIRABLE: Interest in ADSL/SDSL applications and networking. Sound knowledge of low-level networking such as TCP/IP Low level Linux/UNIX knowledge such as Kernel development Experience of User Interface Design MySQL and Perl Knowledge of network hardware configuration and servers Experience of writing network server applicationsGBP 35k - GBP 50k + Exc Bens (pension, life ins etc)
