Our client is an established engineer design practice with over 40 years delivering engineering solutions in many marketsectors to a growing loyal and extensive local and international client base.A Senior CAD Technician is sought within London. The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years experience as astructural engineering technician, and a competent user of AutoCAD.The successful applicant will have:-Technical qualifications to HNC/HND/DegreeAt least 5 years relevant work experience.Good computer and IT skillsGood communication skills and experience in dealing with other employees and external clients.A confident and proactive character with the ability to take the lead in challenging situations.Experience of working onj a one to one basis, and in team situations.IT experience of servers and backup would be an advantage.As a CAD Technician, your key role and responsibility would be:Ability to detail buildings using common structural materials (steel, concrete, timber, masonry and external works)Ability to communicate technical subjectsUndertake detailed design and detailing.Utilise PDL systems and procedures to ensure that the CAD system is running effectively.Provide guidance and advice to design engineers and technicians on the management of CAD techniques during projectimplementation.Prepare technical schedules e.g. reinforcement and drainage.Co-ordinating your work and liaison with other members of the project team.The successful candidate will be awarded a highly competitive salary, and career progression opportunities. |
