: A north-east based subsea contractor , with an industry leading product portfolio, housing the worlds most comprehensive fleet of trenching systems with universal capability for flexible product installation seek a senior structural engineer / naval architect to add to their expertise The successful Structural Engineer will be expected to provide specialist analytical expertise to the Engineering department including: -Pipe Stress Analysis -Structural verification including sea-fastening calculations -Dynamic umbilical analysis -Vessel analysis -Naval architecture / vessel conversion analysis -Development of new internal analytical techniques -Approval of sub-contract analytical work performed for the company Applicants will need to be a team player with good interpersonal and communication skills, able to work under pressure and prioritise / multi-task manage, and demonstrating excellent analytical skills. It is important to be degree qualified in mechanical, structural, offshore engineering or naval architecture. It is also necessary to be competent in working with Microsoft Project & Office Suite user, plus autocad experience is preferable. For the role to be completed to the highest level, candidates will need a minimum of 5 years experience in a Marine Engineering or Mechanical Engineering role within the Offshore Industry. |
