This is a senior position, the responsibilities are both interesting and varied. Leading a team that provides productmanagement post-sales support. This involves customer contact, submitting reports to the customer on the technicalaspects of new products being introduced and brought into service.The Product Line management team handle all technical aspects of the introduction of new versions of Node Bs, RNCs andUMR software that runs on the UTRAN system. All of this has to be trialed in the test-bed and modified where necessary toensure that all features perform to specification. The process covers introduction through to final customer acceptance.Recent technical design level experience with 2G and 3G mobile infrastructure is essential, in addition to experience ofpublic switching with a major manufacturer at an earlier career stage.Furthermore, this senior manager should be able to deal with counterparts of an equivalent level in customersorganisations. The ability to develop productive working relationships and influence technical outcomes is important. Asimilar level of influence has also to be achieved with the parent Company which provides the products.Line management experience is essential including the ability to motivate staff, encourage teamwork and develop theirtechnical and customer facing skills.Candidates should be qualified to degree level, ideally with a second post graduate degree in Electronic and ElectricalEngineering. |
