DUTIES:Reporting directly to the Principal Technology Leaders, duties include the following but others may be assigned:- Develop the methodology for riser system analysis carrying out sensitivity studies of system configurations. Assess environmental and vessel data for implementation in to a system model. Interface with the engineering groups both internal and external on the analysis outputs for the design of the risersystem and ancillary equipment Carry out reviews of internal and third party analyses in line with Companys internal quality control. Provide comprehensive analysis reports for submission as part of either FEED study or Project Execution work Assists the Technical Group as necessary in conducting system level analysis. Co-ordination and development of UK analysts including review/approval of work undertaken by juniors. Perform any other duties as directed by the Principal Technology Leaders.QUALIFICATIONS: Degree in Mechanical, Structural Engineering or Naval Architecture preferred.EXPERIENCE: Should have Minimum of 7 years experience (2 of which in a senior role) in at least one of the following areas: NavalArchitecture/Subsea Engineering/Offshore Engineering/Mechanical-Civil Engineering. Experience in Finite Element Modelling of dynamic riser systems.Preferred tools include Orcaflex and Flexcom 3D. Experience of working in the field of stress analysis Knowledge of structural mechanics and fluid mechanics Knowledge of buckling strength analysis of structural components Knowledge of hydrodynamics and wave kinematics.
