: Our client is a market leading civils and construction contractor, predominantly servicing the Highways, Rail, Water and Construction sectors. With a turnover in excess of GBP 250 million, the construction division forms the major part of the PLC and undertakes all forms of contracting in the industry sectors of building, civil engineering, utilities and rail as well as being involved in a number of PFI schemes. Principal sectors of activity: Education / Healthcare / Leisure / Offices / Bridges / Roads / Rail / Criminal Justice / Industrial / Commercial / Shopping and Retail / Multi-storey Car Parks / Water Industry. Due to recent project wins they currently require a Senior Construction Tender Planner with a minimum of 5+ years Tender Planning experience. You will be based at the companies head office in Hertfordshire/North London and be responsible for the tender planning of a diverse range of construction projects. These will range in value from GBP 6mn to GBP 80mn. Essential skills: Minimum of 5 years construction planning experience Minimum of 5 years tender planning experience within the construction sector Experience of planning multi-million pound projects Formal qualifications are not essential, but candidates who do possess a relevant building/construction degree will be looked upon favourably 5 years Project Planning experience using either ASTA PowerProject planning software or TeamPlan planning software Good understanding of planning techniques You will work closely with other Senior Planners and Junior Planners, so good communication skills are essential. Responsibilities: You will work within the planning department, and responsibilities will include (but not be limited to): -Developing initial tender programmes -Costing and forecasting -Attending selection interviews -Working both with the directors and site teams. |
