Our client is a leading Global Telecommunications company, who owns and operates advanced fibre-optic global cable systems over which it offers a growing range of value-added network services. You will be responsible for providing a Customer focused Service Desk for services provided on the network. You will carry out requests to comply with SLA using Operational Support Systems and to ensure that all processes and procedures are being correctly followed.The Service Desk Engineer will receive customer enquiries by telephone/email and will ensure that customer's queries are dealt with and resolved adequately. He/she will be responsible for supporting, managing and monitoring services from the NOC ensuring correct escalations are made again Customer SLA, for producing RFO (reason for outage) reports and other management reports and for maintaining information records for all customers. -At least 12 months experience working in a Customer care/Service Desk environment for an ISP or telco,-Experience in engaging with customers to understand problems, extracting key information to allow the NOC to troubleshoot troubles and translating when required complex technical issues in to plain English,-Another European level will be an advantage,-You will be customer focussed, good communicator, pro-active, multi-tasking and quick learner.This is a unique opportunity to work for a financially stable company with excellent career progression opportunities. Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK.3 months contract to start with. Pro rata based on annual salary of GBP 22-25K + Benefits. |
