My client are a leading manufacturer of HVAC systems. The service department specialises in providing a plannedpreventative maintenance programme and repair service, for clients, in the smoke control and industrial warm air heatingfields.They are now recruiting an additional Service Engineer to cover the South East London area.JOB PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE: Provide an effective after-sales service of own make and other manufacturer's products for end users. Carry out planned preventative maintenance and breakdown service on customer sites. Provide an out of hours emergency service to contract customers.JOB ACTIVITIES: Receive work schedule from Regional Co-ordinator. Attend site in company vehicle and report to client contact. Carry out maintenance/repair works as indicated. Complete test sheets as appropriate. Complete service day work sheets for signature by client. Liase with client to ensure good customer relationship. Produce clear and concise reports and requests for quotations. Submit time and expense sheets on a weekly basis. Respond to reasonable requests for overtime or emergency call out duties.REPORTS TOThis position reports to the Service Manager and will have internal contact with the Service office based staff, otherService Engineers and Service Area Manager.EXPERIENCEDesirable HVAC/Building Services with an electrical bias. Oil and gas fired industrial warm air heating. Electrical controls within the HVAC or similar industry. Pneumatics, including compressors.SKILLSEssential Good practical electrical background. Appreciation of health & safety awareness. Ability to communicate and work with others. Ability to work in isolation. Ability to solve problems and to report to Technical Manager when necessary. Clean current driving licence.QUALIFICATIONSEssential City & Guilds electrical trades qualification. Industrial and Commercial Gas Safety qualification.RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures and their own safety and the safety of others whilst on site.CAREER PROGRESSION Opportunities for career progression across the group of companies. |
