PERMANENT VACANCYJOB TITLE: MECHANICAL SERVICE ENGINEERBusiness Overview:Our client supplies and installs processing equipment and after sales service to producers of Dairy, Cheese, PreparedFood Ice cream and Beverage products.The Service Department provides service and support to our customers.Purpose of Role:To provide comprehensive technical support and service to internal and external customers and for all service productsand services.To work within department objectives to support the company Balanced Scorecard.To ensure approved standards are implemented and adhered to.Key Contacts:All customers with potential requirements for Mechanical Service products & services.All departments requiring Mechanical Service products & services.Service Co-ordinator.Responsibilities:Carry out repairs and service to the company's processing equipment.Carry out commissioning of the company's processing equipment.To fault find on the company's processing equipment.To work with a team of Northern Mechanical Service Engineers.To be a member of a 24/7 Plantcare team, 1 week in 4.To write site visit reports on completion on the work.To communicate with the Senior Engineer for job information, completion of work and working patterns.To work on site with the engineer provided by the support contract supplier.To discuss problem solving solutions with engineers from the suppliers.To carry out customer visits in conjunction with Plantcare Planning, plant commissioning and breakdowns.To carry out courtesy calls as and when necessary.Competencies:Skills & KnowledgeThe ability to work within a team.Proven understanding of Customer Satisfaction.Good verbal and written communication skills.Good Knowledge and proven understanding of mechanical platforms, used within the liquid food industry.Good computer literacy.Self motivatingHave the ability to work under pressure.Behavioural & AttitudeMotivated by desire to delight.Responsive to customer needs.Team worker.Service orientated.Culturally sensitive.Resourceful and creative in developing solutions to on site problems.Academic Requirements:Recognised qualifications to HNC/HND level or able to demonstrate through experience, knowledge of:Mechanical EngineeringAdditional Requirements:English speaking.Full driving license.Work Place Environment:The position will be home based with travelling throughout the Northern Regions of the UK.Occasional overseas travel will be required.Induction Training:To be given by the Service Manager.REMUNERATION PACKAGE (Service Engineer - Mechanical)HOURS: 38 hours per week. Working hours to be mutually agreed.SALARY: GBP 20-22K. According to experience.COMPANY CAR: A company car will be provided according to the Company Car Policy.BONUS*: The Company currently operates a discretionary Company annual incentive scheme. You will have the opportunity toearn up to 8% of your basic salary, based on the achievement of set Company and personal objectives.HOLIDAYS: 25 days per year, or pro rata (plus bank holidays). Holiday year is January to December.PENSION: The Company currently offers a contributory Group Pension Plan. This also includes a Death in Service benefit of3 times your basic salary.PHI: The Company provides Permanent Health Insurance cover for all employees in the pension scheme, (above the age of21).MEDICAL COVER: The Company provides free Private Medical Insurance cover to employees (please note this is a taxablebenefit).
